How to create a new process

Processes are the core element of ProcessFlex, allowing you to organize activities, deadlines, tasks, and documents related to a specific workflow.

There are two main ways to create a process within the platform:

  • Through the Main Menu
  • Through the Processes Dashboard

Create a Process from the Main Menu

Follow the steps below to create a process using the main navigation menu.

Step-by-step

1. In the main menu, select Process Types.

2. A list of available process types will be displayed.

3. Select the desired process type.

4. Click Create New Process.

5. In the form that appears: Enter the process name.

6. Click Submit to complete the action.

After submission, the process will be created automatically and will be available for editing and management.

Create a Process from the Dashboard

Another quick way to register a process is directly from the Processes Dashboard.

Step-by-step

1. In the Dashboard, select the desired process type.

2. Click the Register button.

3. Select Create New Process.

4. In the form that appears: Enter the process name.

5. Click Submit.

The new process will be created and will be available for configuration and tracking.

Editing a Process

Once created, the process can be edited to add more information and configure its details.

Depending on the process type, different fields and features may be available.

Examples of information that can be configured include:

  • Start and end dates
  • Deadline definition
  • Detailed description
  • Task list
  • Attachments and documents
  • Custom fields specific to the process type

Basic Fields

The following fields are available for all process types.

Title

The name of the process.

This field identifies the process within the system and makes it easier to find and manage.

Start Date

The date when the process begins or becomes active.

End Date

The expected or actual completion date of the process.

Deadline

Defines whether the process has a deadline for completion.

It can be used for:

  • deadline tracking
  • automatic alerts
  • priority management

Description

A free text field used to describe the process, provide context, or add relevant information.

Task List

Allows you to add and track tasks related to the process, making it easier to manage the activities required for completion.

Attach Files

Allows you to attach documents or relevant files to the process.

Examples include:

  • contracts
  • supporting documents
  • images
  • reports
  • confirmations

> After creating a process, it is recommended to fill in as much information as possible to improve tracking, collaboration between users, and deadline management.
